ICS Enabled – Refresh almost every page in IE
Hi, I have very annoying problem: I have Windows Vista Ultimate x64 Desktop PC (also tried and experienced the same problem with Vista Business x86) and Vista Home Premium x86 laptop. (Genuine Microsoft software, of course) Desktop has 2 network adapters. One connected to the Cable Modem => Internet, another adapter to network switch => Laptop. I want to share Internet connection with Laptop with ICS. The problem is that when I open any website in IE it displays Page cannot be displayed error. Then I just click Refresh button and the page loads correctly. This happens on both Desktop and Laptop PCs. This doesnt happen each time on Desktop PC, but on Laptop I have to reload almost every website. When I disable ICS or disconnect Desktop PCs Network cable I can use IE on Desktop PC without this annoying problem. Please help Thank you! Serhiy

Hi wollka, Thank you for the post. I suggest trying the following steps on the Desktop to test the issue: Step 1: Clear the Hosts file -------------------------------------- 1. Click the Start Button, type "%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc" (without quotation marks) in the Search bar and press Enter. 2. Right-click on the file "hosts" (without quotations) and choose Delete. 3. Click Yes to confirm the deletion. Step 2: Clean up the Domain Name Resolution (DNS) cache -------------------------------------- 1. Click the Start Button, type "cmd" (without quotation marks) in the Search bar. 2. Right click on the search result listed upper and click Run as Administrator. 3. In the popup window, type: "ipconfig /flushdns" (without quotation marks) and press Enter. Step 3: Disable firewalls -------------------------------------- Please disable all firewalls including Windows Firewall to test the result. Hope it helps.
